The Al Baseera Masjid
Relocation Project
An Islamic masjid upon the Qur'an, Sunnah and the path of the companions — growing to serve the Bristol Muslim community for generations to come.
A Masjid Built on Knowledge, Guided by the Sunnah
Al Baseera Masjid was established to serve as a community masjid upon the Qur'an, Sunnah and the understanding of the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Since our founding, we have provided daily prayers, Quranic education, youth programmes, Islamic classes, and a welcoming space for the entire Bristol Muslim community.
We are committed to spreading authentic Islamic knowledge and nurturing the next generation of Muslims in the United Kingdom — grounded in their faith, confident in their identity, and active contributors to their wider communities.
"The Mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah..." — Qur'an 9:18
Our Current Space Can No Longer Serve Our Community
At Full Capacity
Our current masjid is full on every prayer, with worshippers overflowing onto the pavement outside. We desperately need more space.
No Room for Education
We have no dedicated classrooms for Quran lessons, Islamic studies, or youth programmes. Children deserve a proper learning environment.
Limited Community Facilities
Sisters' facilities, wudhu areas, disability access, and community event spaces are all severely lacking in our current premises.
A 1.56-Acre Site — A Home for Generations
Alhamdulillah, we have identified a 1.56-acre property that will allow us to build the Islamic Centre our community deserves. This site is large enough to accommodate a spacious prayer hall for men and women, dedicated Quran and Islamic education classrooms, a youth centre, parking, and much more.
The total cost of the property and development is £3 Million. We have already raised £430,000 and require at least £1 Million within the next 4–6 weeks to secure the site and begin the purchase process.
The Property & Our Community
Help Us Make This Vision a Reality
Every donation, large or small, brings us one step closer to securing this property and building a lasting legacy for the Bristol Muslim community.
